Ensembles Win 17 Golds at ISSMA Event

Congratulations to Avon's grade 6-8 ensembles for their fine performances and multiple awards during the 2022 ISSMA Organizational Event at Avon Middle School North.

In total, Avon Music Ensembles in grades 6-8 earned 17 Gold Rating Awards. Of those 17 awards, nine received the highest honor of “With Distinction.”

These students and their teachers give incredible amounts of time, talent, and energy to being prepared for the return of this live event after two pandemic-impacted years. The work that goes into preparing for and performing on the big stage, under the bright lights, and in front of large audiences helps students become better musicians and well-rounded young citizens.

The successes we celebrate at Avon High School are possible because of the foundation that is built at Avon Intermediate East and West and Avon Middle School North and South.
