80 Avon Band Students Make INpact

Eighty Avon Band students recently joined more than 1,000 young musicians from across Indiana to perform in the 2025 Drum Corps International INpact Band. The INpact Band, made up of students in grades 7-9, delivered an unforgettable performance to open the DCI World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Congratulations to the Avon Band students from Avon Middle School North, South, and West as well as Avon High School for representing our community with their talent and enthusiasm. A very special thank you goes out to Avon Middle School band directors Emma Cook, Vivian Buetow, and Leah Harris, who played a crucial role in teaching and guiding students during the INpact Band experience. Along with other middle school band directors from across the state, their leadership and guidance were vital to the success of this massive group of young musicians.
